New standards for personal protective footwear

The amendments to the footwear standards in personal protective equipment are now available:UNE-EN ISO 20345:2022/A1:2024, UNE-EN ISO 20346:2022/A1:2024 and UNE-EN ISO 20347:2022/A1:2024.
All three include slight changes to the initial standards:

- UNE-EN ISO 20345:2022. Safety footwear.
It specifies the basic and additional requirements for general purpose safety footwear. It includes, for example, mechanical hazards, slip resistance, thermal hazards and ergonomic performance. It also specifies the requirements for safety footwear fitted with customised insoles and customised made-to-measure safety footwear. 
- UNE-EN ISO 20346:2022. Protective footwear
It shows the basic and additional requirements for general purpose protective footwear. It includes, for example, mechanical hazards, slip resistance for protective footwear fitted with customised insoles, customised protective footwear and customised made-to-measure protective footwear.
- UNE-EN ISO 20347:2022. Occupational footwear
It describes the basic and additional requirements for general purpose occupational footwear. It includes, for example, mechanical hazards, slip resistance, thermal hazards and ergonomic performance. It also specifies the requirements for occupational footwear fitted with customised insoles, customised occupational footwear and customised made-to-measure occupational footwear.
