UNE standards cited in the Technical Building Code

19/03/2024

The CTE establishes quality requirements that must be met by buildings in terms of the basic safety and habitability requirements established by Law 38/1999 of 5 November, on Building Standards (LOE).
This Code details the basic requirements for building structural safety, and develops the practical aspects through different Basic Documents, such as the DB SI on fire safety: indoor spread, outdoor spread, fire resistance of the structure, etc.
Among the UNE standards cited in the CTE, we highlight the following:
- UNE-EN 13501 (part 1 and 2). Classification according to the behaviour of construction products and building elements in relation to fire.
- UNE-EN 1365 (parts 1 and 2). Fire resistance of load-bearing elements.
- UNE 23585:2017. Requirements and methods of calculation and design to plan a smoke and heat control system (SHCS) in the event of stationary fire.
