The recently published UNE-EN ISO 14020 establishes the principles and specifies the general requirements that apply to all types of environmental declarations and environmental declaration programmes related to the product.
This document includes self-declared environmental claims, eco-labels, environmental product declarations (EPD) and footprint communications.
In Chapter 5, the standard addresses the different types of environmental declarations.
At the end of its contents, it adds an Information Annex as practical support when applying the standard, which is composed of the example of an environmental declaration programme for a self-declared environmental claim.
UNE-EN ISO 14020 must be used together with the following standards for consultation:
- UNE-EN ISO 14021:2017 and its modification. Self-declared environmental claims. Type II environmental labelling
