The purpose of UNE 56890 is to lay out the general conditions for installing interior wooden door sets made from wood or wood-based materials (boards), as defined in section 4.6 of the UNE 56801 standard.
This new standard applies to hinged door sets that open on a vertical axis supplied to the worksite:
- As already assembled door sets (frame, leaf and fittings) for installation by means of a subframe.
- As non-assembled door sets supplied in kit form for installation by means of a subframe.
The door leaves that incorporate the door sets referred to in this standard must be in accordance with UNE 56802 and UNE 56803.
It also includes door sets with glass parts, provided their sole function is for decorative or light transmission purposes.
In addition, the UNE 56890 standard provides specifications on the control, maintenance and accompanying documentation of the items.
