The new UNE-EN 12201-1: 2024 V2 standard specifies the materials and general aspects of polyethylene (PE) pressure piping systems for buried or aerial applications, intended for channelling water for human consumption, untreated water before treatment, sewage and sanitation under pressure, vacuum sanitation systems, and water intended for other uses, except for industrial applications.
The intended use includes maritime emissaries, water pipes and pipes suspended under bridges.
Together with UNE-EN 12201-2:2024, UNE-EN 12201-3:2024, UNE-EN 12201: 4:2024 and UNE-EN 12201-5:2024, this document applies to PE pipes, fittings and valves and their joints, as well as to joints with PE and other components.
