UNE-EN 1355, safe design of control centres and devices for cranes

19/11/2024

UNE-EN 13557:2024 is now available, which specifies the design requirements for health and safety involving control devices and control stations, as well as operational positions, for all types of cranes

UNE-EN 13557:2024 refers to various essential standards for proper implementation, including several on machine safety, such as: UNE-EN ISO 12100:2012, UNE-EN ISO 13850:2016, UNE-EN 62745:2017 and UNE-EN 60204-32:2009.
In addition, the new standard includes three informative annexes that aid in its understanding and correct application:
- Annex A. List of significant hazards
- Annex B. Selecting the suitable set of crane standards for a specific application.
- Annex ZA. Relationship between that European standard and the essential requirements of Directive 2006/42/EC.
