These products are manufactured in the form of rolls or panels, consisting of one or more low-emissivity sheets and one or more layers of materials that are semi-transparent to infrared or air cavities.
The standard describes the methods and criteria for assessing the performance of factory-made reflective insulation (RI) with regard to the essential product characteristics, and includes procedures for assessing and verifying the consistency of their performance.
Reflective insulation requires specific installation instructions depending on their level of comprehensiveness.
