The UNE-EN 17795-5:2024 standard offers general guidelines on the planning and process of lifting and moving operations with machinery, used in event staging and production sites.
It applies to all machinery, assembly, start-up, adjustment, operation and disassembly phases used in the event industry, including that defined in point j, Article 1.2 of the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC):machinery designed to move artists during artistic performances.
It refers to the following consultation standards:
- UNE-EN 17206:2021 and UNE-EN 17206:2021/AC:2022. Safety requirements and inspections for stage machinery with guided and non-guided loads used in different types of installations (theatres, multipurpose rooms, outdoor stages and other rooms for shows and events).
- UNE-EN 17115:2019. Specifications for design and manufacture of aluminium and steel trusses.
