The new UNE-EN IEC 61400-21-2:2024 standard defines and specifies the variables that are checked to determine the electrical characteristics of the power generating modules (PGM) that are connected to the network.
The document shows the measurement and test procedures used to quantify electrical characteristics, as a basis to verify the PGM's compliance, which include:
- Aspects of energy supply quality
- Permanent operation
- Dynamic response (voltage dip and transient overvoltage)
- Network disconnection (network protection)
- Control performance
It also develops the procedures for assessing and verifying compliance with electrical connection requirements and includes a uniform functionality test and a measurement method for PPC (Plant Power Controllers).
Among its Annexes, which include tools to facilitate the application of the standard, we highlight:
-Annex A (informative). Report model
- Annex B (Informative). Harmonic assessment
- Annex ZA (Regulatory). Other international standards cited in this standard with references to the corresponding European standards.
