The UNE-EN ISO 18593:2019 specifies horizontal methods for sampling techniques using contact plates, stick swabs, sponges and cloths on surfaces in the food chain environment in order to detect and enumerate culturable microorganisms such as pathogenic or non-pathogenic bacteria or yeasts and moulds.
Among other standards available for consultation within the field of food microbiology, we highlight the following: UNE-EN ISO 6887-1:2017, UNE-EN ISO 6887-5:2021, UNE-EN ISO 7218:2008 and UNE-EN ISO 16140-2:2016.
It includes an Information Annexe, as support for the application of the standard, on neutralisers.
