UNE-EN ISO 23662, criteria for foods suitable for vegetarians

The new standard UNE-EN ISO 23662:2024 specifies the definitions and technical criteria for foods and food ingredients suitable for vegetarians or vegans and for labelling and claims.

Its fundamental purpose is to be used in communications between companies, for fair practices in the relations within the global food supply chain, within the framework of international food trade.

This standard is aimed at all types of food and beverage companies.
