Summary:

DIN 14704 was developed in NA 031-06-04 AA In-vehicle communication interfaces and specifies a DIN 4630 (NA Automobil) based in-vehicle gateway unit (IGU) for fire-fighting body applications. DIN 14704 specifies, which DIN 4630 parameters and PGs (Parameter Groups) are mandatory respectively optional for fire-fighting vehicles. It also specifies additional parameters for IGUs, which are needed for fire-fighting body applications. They are mapped to J1939 PGs. A mapping to CANopen is not in the scope of this document. DIN 14704 is published in only in English language.
